Itasca, IL – May 19, 2017 – While Mobile Mark is a leading manufacturer and designer of communications antennas — we also do testing, prototyping, and custom designs at our Chicago Area Headquarters. More than just an antenna company, Mobile Mark provides a wide variety of engineering services to existing and new customers.

All of this is possible with the Engineering Technical Center at our Itasca, IL facility which includes an anechoic chamber, workstation for antenna characterization and reports, environmental & mechanical testing equipment, and prototyping tools.

To facilitate larger equipment, our in-house anechoic chamber measures 10’ x 10’ x 40’ (3m x 3m x 12m).  The chamber rotator can handle up to 250 lbs. and can accommodate antennas up to 6-feet long.  Custom test fixtures can be built to fit the needs of our customers. Foam cones cover the chamber walls to absorb RF energy to prevent interference with testing.  Antenna horns inside the chamber can be swapped out for frequencies ranging from 450 MHz to 6.0 GHz.

Customers can test any of their existing antenna and radio combinations using our equipment, and generate data and reports from their testing. Antenna Characterization data and reports include: impedance testing, radiation patterns, gain over frequency plots, and VSWR charts to measure return loss. Mobile Mark Engineers can also generate and provide both 2D and 3D Elevation/Azimuth plots using data retrieved from our anechoic chamber. Our Engineers are available to answer questions throughout the entire testing process.

As an antenna company that is constantly pushing the boundaries for our own products, Mobile Mark has the ability to do a wide range of environmental & mechanical testing based on Industrial & Military standards. Our equipment can be used to test for Shock & Vibration standards including: IEEE1478, EN61373, EN300-019, MIL-810G, TIA 329.2-C, IEC 60068, and SAE J1455. We also have the ability to test for Water, Salt, Fog and Dust Ingress standards that fall within the full range of Ingress Protection (IP) ratings. IP67 is one of the more common ratings that we test for.

Mobile Mark also has in-house capability to do product modifications or produce custom-designs. Samples are generated in our fully equipped Machine Shop that includes a CNC Machine, over-molding machine, sonic welding machine, and embedded board etching machine. We also have in-house capabilities for injection molding.
