Itasca, IL – July 28, 2016 – Using the popular slim radome originally designed for Mobile Mark’s LTB-301 cellular antenna, the BD-5900 provides a thin profile solution for Global DSRC and ITS. This antenna operates in the frequency range of 5.8-5.9 GHz with 13 dBi bi-directional gain. It has a maximum power of 10 Watts with less than 2 to 1 VSWR over range, and 50 OHM nominal impedance.

What makes the thinner design of the BD-5900 so versatile is that it can be surface mounted in a large variety of settings for DSRC and ITS applications. However, the small size of the antenna does not mean a compromise in performance or build quality.

The radome of the BD-5900 is made of a light grey UV inhibitive plastic, and the overall antenna measures at 7.5” long by 1.5” wide by 3.93” high. It is rated for operating at temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Celsius to +80 degrees Celsius, and also meets the IPx7 standard for Dust/Water Ingress.

The BD-5900 is supplied with a Direct N Jack connector interface, and two small 5/8” mounting studs on either side of the connector. These mounting studs are bolted onto a surface with hex nuts to provide an anti-rotational solution when mounting the antenna.
