MAG-MOUNT MULTIBAND
MOBILE MARK OFFERS A MAG-MOUNT VERSION OF ITS GPS, WIFI AND 4G LTE
Itasca, IL, March 10, 2015 – Mobile Mark offers a mag-mount version for its combination WiFi, GPS, and 4G LTE antenna. This antenna is designed for MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output) modems that feature two 4G LTE antenna connections, one or two WiFi connection as well as GPS.
This Magnet Mount Antenna option is ideal for fleet management companies that are testing out the new 4G LTE antenna capabilities and want the flexibility of testing the performance in multiple vehicles.
The MLTM Series mag-mount antenna, like the LTM Series its surface mount counterpart, is available in several different configurations. The MLTM502 is the most comprehensive mag-mount model and includes 5 separate antennas: two for 4G LTE, two for WiFi and one for GPS. This 5-cable model can support MIMO (multiple-input-multiple-output) signals for both LTE and WiFi.
The 4G LTE antenna elements cover all Cellular 3G and 4G LTE wireless networks worldwide from 694 MHz – 3700 MHz and the WiFi elements cover all 802.11 protocols and operate on both 2.4 & 5 GHz. This antenna also operates on Verizon’s XLTE as well as AT&T’s LTE-A.
For wireless systems with different requirements, three other models are available. The MLTM402 mag-mount antenna contains 4 separate antennas: two for MIMO 4G LTE, one for 802.11 WiFi and one for GPS. The 3-cable MLTM302 mag-mount contains two 4G LTE antennas (for MIMO coverage at any 4G LTE frequency worldwide) and one GPS antenna.
The MLTM mag-mount option is a compact and convenient means of combining multiple antennas into a single mag-mount antenna. In addition to housing multiple antennas in a single package, the MLTM takes up significantly less space than multiple antennas. These combined GPS, WiFi and 4G LTE mag-mount antennas measure only 5.5 inches (140mm) in diameter by 2.78 inches (71 mm) in height.
Mobile Mark’s new MLTM mag-mount antennas are built with strong magnets that will hold the antenna securely to the vehicle, even at high speeds. The unit itself is weather resistant and the cables are over-molded to keep water ingress at a minimum. As a result, this antenna has been successfully tested to a water ingress rating of IP67 in both its surface-mount and mag-mount configurations.
Each unit’s radome is made from a heavy duty UV-stable ASA plastic. The antenna’s rugged construction prevents damage from vandalism or accidental impacts. This is a valuable feature for mag-mount antennas, which are frequently subjected to rough treatment. Offering outstanding technical performance, the RoHS-compliant MLTM series is tested to industry and military specifications.
These combination GPS, WiFi and 4G LTE antenna in a Mag-mount package will be featured at the Mobile Mark booth at the ITS America Show in June 2015.
