New 4-Cable Low Profile MIMO LTE Antenna Solution With WiFi And GPS
Itasca, IL – May 25, 2017 – When multiple connections are needed for a particular wireless application, Mobile Mark customers can turn to a MIMO LTE Antenna Solution like the LLP402 low profile 4-cable surface mounted antenna to provide the best possible multiband connection in a mobile or fixed setting.
The LLP402 comes equipped with four connections: two for cellular (694-960 MHz and 1710-3700 MHz), one for WiFi (2.4-2.5 & 4.9-6.0 GHz), and one for GPS (1575 MHz). There is also an optional Glonass version with the LLPG402. Gain for the LLP402 varies depending on the frequency: 694-960 MHz has up to 3 dBi gain, 1710-3700 has 4 dBi, 2.4-2.5 & 4.9-6.0 GHz have 4 & 5 dBi respectively, and 1575 has 5 dBi gain.
The LLP402 mounts to metal surfaces with a drilled through hole, allowing the cables to exit. This antenna is ground plane dependent, meaning that a metal ground plane is required for optimal performance. Mobile Mark specifications for the LLP are measured with a one inch ground plane and once inch of cable. The LLP402 is currently only available with a through hole mounting stud in place of an optional magnet mount.
This MIMO LTE Antenna Solution is ideal for fleet management systems that combine GPS with a single element (non-MIMO) WiFi modem as well as a 2-element MIMO LTE modem. The reduced profile radome measures 9” (22.8 cm) x 3.50 (8.9 cm) in diameter with a low profile of 1.25” (31.8 mm). What this means for Mobile Mark customers considering the LLP402 is that they can expect comparable performance to the popular LTM402 with a much smaller profile and significantly reduced physical footprint.
The LLP402 is available in either white or black, and is made from CNC machined UV-Stable ASA plastic. It terminates with SMA connectors attached to RF-195 cable for cables 1 through 3, and RG-174 cable for GPS/Glonass on cable 4. Like many of Mobile Marks popular surface mounted antennas, the LLP passes several shock, vibration, and environmental tests. It is IP67 rated for water ingress, and is also certified for MIL-810G military environmental testing.
When a wireless project requires a MIMO LTE Antenna Solution with WiFi and GPS – antenna buyers should look no further than the LLP402 for surface mounted applications. Customers can be assured that the LLP402 provides superior connection on the designated bands between 694 MHz and 6 GHz, and that the antenna is durable enough to withstand physical and environmental factors.
